TOP MOVIE NEWS: FRIDAY 30 MARCH
Twins to get a sequel, Trailer for House at the End of the Street
The unlikely formula worked once, so why not try it again?
After the thrilling announcement yesterday that our favourite news team are to be reunited for an Anchorman sequel, there's another follow-up in the works - and this time it's from our favourite ex-Governor of California.
Arnie will, according to The Hollywood Reporter, be appearing in a sequel to Twins, the comedy about a genetically perfect test-tube baby (Schwarzenegger) and his accidental low-life twin brother (Danny DeVito).
Except this time an even more unlikely sibling will be thrown into the mix: Eddie Murphy. That's tight - the black comedian will appear as DeVito and Arnie's triplet.
The film does not yet have a director or script, but Universal are keen to make this biological impossibility a cinematic reality.
Twins remains Arnie's highest grossing comedy to date. Could this beat it?
JENNIFER LAWRENCE IN TRAILER FOR HOUSE AT THE END OF THE STREET
You may have noticed that, over at Sky Movies, we think rather highly of Jennifer Lawrence. A fine actress, her characters are often great female role models, with intelligence and guts.
But even we worry a little that she may end up getting type-cast as the strong, brave female protagonist in gritty, difficult films. Case in point: the trailer for her new film House at the End of Street, a horror film about a mother and daughter who find the house of their dreams in a quiet rural town.
They soon discover though that things are not realy as they seem, with the house next door suffering from a violent past - and spooky present.
Next up, we'd like to see Lawrence tackle a comedy.
The House At The End Of The Street opens in the US on 21 September 2012, with a UK date to be confirmed.
