Tom Hiddleston, aka the mischievous villain Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, surprised a sold-out cinema full of excited children at a screening of Thor: The Dark World on Halloween.
The British actor, who continues to win praise across the board for his portrayal of the Asgardian baddie, showed up unannounced at a special charity screening of the Thor sequel, to the delight of the audience.
Hiddleston reportedly entered the screening, organised by Disney and the New York Daily New to raise money for UNICEF, with his famous line: “I am Loki, and I am filled with glorious purpose”.
The generous actor told reporters:
“I just landed from London at 4 p.m. and to sort of come through the airport, throw on some clothes and come into that response where there were just 300 kids so excited to be there," the actor told the Daily News. "To see that enthusiasm, to see them clap and cheer, wearing Loki T-shirts and swinging hammers, that was really gratifying."
Thor: The Dark World is in cinemas now, though there is no guarantee that any of the actors will be physically present at your screenings, unfortunately.
