New clips and behind the scenes footage released.
With less than two weeks until the release of the sequel Thor: The Dark World, Marvel have begun something of a promotional blitz, with yet more clips and a 15 minute chunk of behind the scenes footage unleashed.
Enjoy a bit of fisticuffs, plus Jane and Thor reunited in the clips below.
The official synopsis for Thor: The Dark World reads thus:
In the aftermath of Marvel’s Thor and Marvel’s The Avengers, Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness.
Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.
Amid rumours of tension between director Alan Taylor and Marvel honcho Kevin Feige over the film’s duration that required reshoots, it now has a running time of 112 minutes. That’s significantly less than the 150 minutes the director originally envisaged.
We can probably expect to see an extended director’s cut sometime in the future.
Stop. Hammer time: 30th October
