In the film:
Aaron Sorkins's Zuckerberg is a ruthless Harvard undergraduate who invents The Facebook, a college website, to get girls and gain entry to elite Ivy League clubs.
"If you guys were the inventors of Facebook, you'd have invented Facebook."
In real life:
After initial silence over the films, Zuckerberg eventually claimed in October 2010 that the film's portrayal of him was false, except, bizarrely, for their depiction of his wardrobe. Aged just 27 (in late 2011), he is listed by Forbes as the 19th wealthiest billionaire in the US, with a net fortune of $13.5 billion.
What he says about the film:
"They [the film's creators] just can't wrap their head around the idea that someone might build something because they like building things."
