Following in the mighty comedic footsteps of John Candy (Uncle Buck), Adam Sandler (Just Go With It), Eddie Murphy (Daddy Day Care), er, Ice Cube (Are We There Yet?) and Vin Diesel (The Pacifier), Jonah Hill is the next unsuspecting lummox to face the nightmare that is other people's kids.

Attempting to extract fresh laughs from a well-squeezed genre, Hill plays Noah, a still-at-home slacker who finds himself minding the neighbours' brood so his chronically single mum can go on a date.

That means enduring a night with neurotic 13-year-old Slater (Max Records, star of Where The Wild Things Are), destructive adoptee Rodrigo (Kevin Hernandez), and precocious poppet Blithe (Landry Bender).

It's a stern test of responsibility... which Noah fails the minute his selfish almost-girlfriend (Ari Graynor) calls, luring him to a party with the promise of sex – as long as he scores some cocaine on the way.

Who knew that taking three minors on a nocturnal trip through New York could lead to so much frustration and misunderstanding?

One minute you're being looked at funny in a childrens' underwear department, the next you're being pursued by a pumped-up drug dealer (Rockwell) who doesn't know whether he's more into sequins or steroids.

Then there's the run-ins with dodgy cops and grudge-bearing old schoolmates, and the unplanned bombing of your estranged dad's jewelry shop.
