The Lego Movie continues to dominate the worldwide box-office - and now the sequel has a release date.
The first feature film based on everyone’s favourite plastic blocks remains at number 1 in the US box office, approaching $300m in global takings after just three weeks.
The sequel - announced by Warner Bros before the first film was even released - will hit cinemas on May 26th, 2017.
As well as being a huge commercial hit, the animated adventure has won near-universal critical acclaim, including five stars from this esteemed outlet.
It’s currently unclear whether original directing team Chris Miller and Phil Lord (Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs) will return for the second film.
