Everything is Awesomer.
The Lego Movie, the first big-screen outing for the little plastic bricks, has not even hit cinemas yet, but already a sequel has been confirmed.
Warner Bros have announced that work has begun on the second Lego Movie, hiring writers Jared Stern (The Internship, Mr Popper’s Penguins) and Michelle Morgan (Girl Most Likely) to pen the script.
There’s no word on whether directing team Phil Lord & Chris Miller (Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs) will return to the franchise.
Early buzz has been hugely positive for the colourful family film, with analysts expecting at least $40m on its opening weekend in the US.
The film is currently sitting on a perfect 100% score at Rotten Tomatoes after 14 reviews, although that is likely to change when more reviews come in.
The Lego Movie - the first one, that is - will be released in the UK on February 14th, 2014.
