Star Wars script finished - Abrams

'We're ready to start shooting..."

Director JJ Abrams has revealed the script for the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII is complete...and they're ready to begin shooting.

"We're working really hard and we've got our script and we're in deep prep. Full steam ahead, y’know?," said Abrams, who has penned the screenplay with Lawrence Kasdan.

Following chronologically in the series after Return of the Jedi, the movie is rumoured to feature a new generation of heroes and may include appearances from Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford in older incarnations of their characters from the original Star Wars trilogy

Abrams refused to be drawn on speculation that Breaking Bad star Jesse Piemons would star, possibly as en Skywalker, Luke's son, although he did confirm that he had auditioned.

Star Wars: Episode VII is due in cinemas in December 2015.
