Seth Rogen entering Console Wars

Adapting with Evan Goldberg.

Sony have confirmed that Seth Rogen and his regular writing partner Evan Goldberg are set to write an adaptation of the non-fiction book Console Wars.

The book, by Blake J Harris, details the famous behind-the-scenes rivalry between videogames giants Sega and Nintendo in the early 90s.

The book has not even been released, but Sony (who somewhat ironically own a rival console which today outsells both Sega and Nintendo) has already optioned the rights.

Rogen and Goldberg wrote the foreword to the book.

Scott Rudin, who also oversaw major book-to-film adaptations Moneyball and The Social Network, will produce. No director is currently attached.
