Sacha to adapt married-off lesbian saga

5 October 2012

Sacha Baron Cohen's next comedy foray will feature the Hong Kong billionaire who offered $65m to any man who succeeded in marrying his lesbian daughter.

Shipping magnate Cecil Chao publicly promised the cash prize after reports emerged that his businesswoman daughter Gigi had married her long-term girlfriend in France.

Mr Chao rejected the rumours of a civil partnership, and told the BBC his daughter was still single and needed a "good husband".

Baron Cohen and and his Four By Two Films will develop the feature - tentatively called Lesbian - for Paramount Pictures.

Baron Cohen’s last film, The Dictator, grossed $175m worldwide for Paramount and he can next been seen alongside Russell Crowe in the big screen version of Les Miserables.
