It has already been hinted that Jeremy Renner's Aaron Cross - a fellow spook of Jason Bourne - would be back in action after he was last seen sailing off into the sunset with Rachel Weisz...and clocking up $182m at the box office.
"We're gonna follow Jeremy's character," producer Frank Marshall told ComingSoon.net. "Everything else is wide open. That's the great thing about this now. The table is set to go any direction we want to. But we will, I'm sure, follow Jeremy and see what happens"
Universal is also planning a sequel to Seth McFarlane's hit bad taste-a-thon Ted with CEO Steve Burke stating that he wants to move forward "as soon as we can."
The follow-up for Despicable Me - which earned a colossal $543m - is on track for release in 2014 with the focus of the spin-off on the "minions".
