Director: Quentin Tarantino.
Starring: John Travolta, Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson.
Quentin Tarantino's follow-up to Reservoir Dogs garnered him worldwide acclaim, re-established John Travolta as a major movie star, and picked up a Best Original Screenplay Oscar and the Palme D'or at Cannes. Not bad for a second movie. Tarantino cast himself in a supporting role, but his real strengths lay behind the camera. Not only is Pulp Fiction extraordinarily well directed, the brilliant script is able to kill off its leading man halfway through and still let him have a hero's exit come the final fade.
