Get ready for some fee-fi-fo-fun
The first full trailer for Bryan Singer’s big budget re-imagining of Jack and the Beanstalk has landed online.
It’s been more than a year since we got our first glimpse of the film. It was originally intended for release in June of this year however it was pushed back to March 2013 to allow the post production team more time to tinker with the special effects, plenty of which are on display in this two-minute teaser.
The latest trailer also gives us a glimpse of the storyline which twists the age-old folktale into an ancient war against a fearsome race of giants who are unleashed on earth through a magic portal created by Jack’s magic beans.
Skins alum Nicholas Hault plays the titular giant slayer, who sets out to save fellow Brit Eleanor Tomlinson, a princess turned damsel in distress who’s kidnapped by the giants.
The duo are part of an impressive cast assembled by Singer, which also includes Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Bill Nighy, Ian McShane alongside the dulcet tones of narrator Ian McKellen.
Jack The Giant Slayer stomps its way into cinemas on March 22 2013.
