Like Vesuvius itself, you know it’s going to be big and loud and explosive and chaotic but British director Paul W.S. Anderson is no stranger to any of these.
Set in 79AD, a slave named Milo played by Game of Thrones’ Kit Harington (Jon Snow, knows nothing) seeks to buy his freedom and marry his master’s daughter. She is of noble stock, he a mere slave. She knows it’s wrong but he does possess an 8 pack on which you could grate cheese so she can be forgiven.
However, Naples apparently isn’t lovely this time of year, mainly due to the erupting volcano and the rivers of molten lava that are consuming the city. It’s a film that features love, deceit, bravery, loyalty and lots of hot magma.
Pompeii explodes onto screens on 28th February 2014.
