Warner Bros. have confirmed that a brand new Tarzan movie is in the works.
David Yates, best known for directing four films in the Harry Potter series, is to helm this latest live-action adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs' classic jungle yarn.
Alexander Skarsgard is set to play the boy raised by Great Apes. The Wolf Of Wall Street’s Margot Robbie is set to play his love interest Jane.
Samuel L. Jackson and Christoph Waltz are also lined up for roles.
“This is a perfect entry for the summer movie season corridor, with a terrific combination of action, adventure, romance and suspense that is sure to appeal to a broad audience,” said Warner Bros.’ Dan Fellman.
The new movie, which is to be shot in 3D, is due to be released on July 1st, 2016.
