It's 46 years to the day that Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek first hit TV screens in the US, so it's the perfect time for JJ Abrams and co. to announce the name of the new Trek sequel.
Although, they actually haven't. But according to ComingSoon.net, the reboot sequel will be called Star Trek Into Darkness.
Indeed, Paramount are yet to make this official news, but with their PR company having reserved the web address www.startrekintodarkness.com, it's a fairly safe bet (or a slightly unnecessary red herring).
Admittedly, it's unusual for a Trek movie to not feature a colon as per Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan, but writer/ director JJ Abrams has made his intentions to steer away from the Trek style-guide quite clear since rebooting the Treks for the new century.
We'll confirm when Paramount decide to go public, potentially with a new poster or - hopefully - a teaser trailer.
