Anderson delivers the quirk.
The Grand Budapest Hotel, the latest film from quirkmaster general Wes Anderson, has just gotten the motion poster treatment in the run up to its release.
Motion posters - a relatively new concept to film marketing - are usually used to provide money shots of expensive action sequences or CGI explosions, to be shared on social networks like Instagram. This is a decidedly different approach.
The poster turns the previously-released ‘motionless’ poster into a glittering vision of lights and music.
It’s precisely the level of whimsy and idiosyncrasy we’ve come to expect from Anderson and his fans are sure to be pleased.
The Grand Budapest Hotel is released in the UK on 7th March 2014.
