Vin looks to have run out of Diesel
A moody new image has been released via Vin Diesel's Facebook page of the big man in the third instalment of his Riddick trilogy, cunningly entitled 'Riddick'. Judging by the synopsis below, the film will have more in common with Pitch Black than the more bloated, if epic, Chronicles Of Riddick.
This new image sees a rather desolate looking Riddick sitting atop an unknown vehicle in the heavy rain. He looks to us like a man who has run out of fuel and is waiting for the AA man to arrive, though we guess the plot may have more twists than that.
But then again, The Chronicles Of Riddick didn't...
The official synopsis of Riddick reads thus:
The infamous Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he’s encountered. The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty.
The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of merc, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won’t leave the planet without Riddick’s head as their trophy.
Riddick is expected some time in September
