Dark Knight Rises Viral Hints at Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Character, Raging Bull 2 Kicks Off A Fight
Just who is Joseph Gordon-Levitt playing in The Dark Knight Rises?
Rumours have abounded for some time that his role of Gotham police officer John Blake may be a disguise for, well, a more vigilante-esque kind of law enforcer...
And the latest viral offering from the Dark Knight team certainly seems to suggest just that.
Released by Superherohype, it's Blake's police performance review.
For the most part it's positive: "Officer Blake shows great dedication and tenacity. He made an impact in his assigned beat by building effective associations within the local community."
But the report also goes on to note that Blake "needs minor improvement in his relationships with fellow officers", and that his thoroughness gives him a tendency to "question authority".
Questions authority, eh?
We'll have to wait until The Dark Knight Rises is released on 20 July to find out what that really means...
MGM STOPS RAGING BULL 2
Studio MGM has filed a lawsuit against the 91-year-old former boxer Jake LaMotta and RB II Productions, in an attempt to halt further production of Raging Bull 2, a sequel to the 1980 Oscar-winning film, directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Robert DeNiro.
MGM says LaMotta, the subject of both films, had agreed to give any sequel rights to them before any other studio.
The lawsuit observes that in their merchandising for the movie LaMotta and the sequel's producers are associating the sequel with the original movie "in a manner that is plainly calculated to create confusion in the marketplace and to trade off the value of the [original movie] and its associated goodwill, and that will irreparable tarnish the value" of the film.
The gloves are most definitely off.
