It’s been 21 years, but a sequel to classic comedy Mrs Doubtfire is in the works.
The original 1993 movie starred Robin Williams as the estranged father who dons prosthetics and make-up to play the titular Scottish nanny.
With nearly half a billion dollars at the worldwide box-office (on a budget of just $25m), a sequel has understandably been mooted for years, and a script was turned in around 2001.
But the project has languished in development hell for years.
Now finally, David Berenbaum (Elf) has written a script that everyone seems happy with, and it appears Williams and original director Chris Columbus have been persuaded to return.
Columbus is currently working on sci-fi adventure Pixels with Adam Sandler.
The original Mrs Doubtfire is now available on demand on Sky Movies.
