As is usual with Nolan’s films, details are scarce.
Any news about Interstellar will remain little news at all. Christopher Nolan is notoriously secretive about his films, so we expect the announcement that Matt Damon has joined the cast to be the last big surprise for a while.
Damon has apparently accepted a ‘small, undisclosed role’ that will require his presence for two weeks of the film’s four month shoot. He joins an ensemble cast already packed with talent that includes Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, John Lithgow, Casey Affleck, Wes Bentley, Topher Grace, David Oyelowo, Ellen Burstyn, and this being a Christopher Nolan film, Michael Caine.
The official synopsis for Interstellar is wonderfully vague:
The new script chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.
Don’t expect any more plot information much before the film is released on 7th November 2014.
