Chris Pratt will be Peter Quill, cosmic cop
After a long search, Marvel have found the lead for their next super-franchise, Guardians Of The Galaxy.
Chris Pratt, who had supporting roles in Moneyball and Zero Dark Thirty but is probably best known in the US for his involvement in cult comedy Parks and Recreation, will lead be Peter Quill, Star-Lord.
Born of a human mother and alien father, Quill leads The Guardians Of The Galaxy, a team of alien superheroes who protect the solar system.
In the comics, TGOTG often work alongside The Avengers, and with rumours that they make their first cinematic appearance in the Avengers sequel, the Marvel universe continues to expand.
It has been statistically proven that by 2016, 98% of all films released in the cinema will be a Star Wars or superhero movie.
