Zack Snyder gives us another reason to watch Peter Jackson’s prequel when it lands in cinemas next month.
The first full theatrical trailer for Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot Man of Steel will debut before screenings of The Hobbit the director has revealed.
The 300 and Watchmen helmer confirmed that fans would get an extended sneak peek at his take on the iconic DC Comics character when Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey lands in cinemas on December 14th.
“It’s fun. I can’t wait for The Hobbit, so it will be fun to see our crazy Man Of Steel trailer and then enjoy The Hobbit because that’s going to be great,” Snyder said.
Directed by Snyder, with The Dark Knight Rises director Christopher Nolan on board as a producer, the movie will be the fifth major film based on the Kryptonian comic book character.
It stars Henry Cavill as the titular man of steel alongside an A-list cast including Academy award nominees Amy Adams, Diane Lane and Michael Shannon alongside iconic Oscar-winners Kevin Costner and Russell Crowe.
Early teasers were welcomed by fans online and suggested Snyder’s take on the character would be more gritty than in previous movies and producers recently confirmed the movie was being retrofitted for 3D.
Man of Steel is set for cinemas on 14th June 2013.
