First Les Miserables Trailer Emerges, Two New Amazing Spider-Man Viral Videos
It's a bold move, putting Anne Hathaway's I Dreamed a Dream at centrestage in the first teaser for the on-screen Les Mis.
But then, everything about this production (directed by The King's Speech man Tom Hooper) is bold, from the fact that they're recording live singing (rather than acting and then dubbing) to trying to bring this beloved to musical to the big screen in the first place.
Anne Hathaway stars as Fantine, the woman who falls from grace, while the rest of the trailer is like a who's who of Hollywood - Hugh Jackman as former convict Jean Valjean; Russell Crowe as police inspector Javert; Amanda Seyfried as Fantine's illegitimate daughter Cosette; and Eddie Redmayne as student Marius.
Co-stars include Sacha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter as the villainous Thernadiers, while Samantha Barks - who reached the finals of BBC1's I'd Do Anything - plays the role of Eponine.
Les Miserables is currently scheduled for release on 11 January 2013.
