The Hunger Games fans can rest easy - production on the sequel, Catching Fire, has now begun.
Word came via an official press release and a video message from the director, Francis Lawrence, who also announced a competition for dedicated fans.
One lucky fan will be whisked off to Atlanta, Georgia, where the sequel is being shot, to visit the set and take part in a Q&A with the cast and crew.
Lawrence, a former music video director, takes over directing duties from Gary Ross, and has a decent pedigree having directed the recent Robert Pattinson drama, Water For Elephants, Will Smith's blockbuster, I Am Legend and the oft-overlooked Constantine.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will see many of the original cast member return, including Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson, With shooting taking place this winter, the film is likely to get a release in early 2014.
