Garrett Hedlund has confirmed he's returning for Tron 3.
Hedlund played the lead in the long-awaited sequel Tron: Legacy back in 2010, and Disney's plans to keep the franchise moving remain unaffected by that movie's relative disappointment (it made $228m from a $170m budget).
Hedlund confirmed his participation in an interview with NextMovie, saying; "Yeah, are we gonna break this now? Disney’s very excited. That’s about that. You know, yeah, I’m very excited, Disney’s very excited.”
Director Joseph Kosinsky is also returning. Kosinsky made his debut with Legacy, and has since gone on to make the Tom Cruise sci-fi vehicle Oblivion.
