This week saw the unexpected and sad passing of Ghostbusters star Harold Ramis, who died after a short illness, aged 69.
Now news has come that the long-mooted Ghostbusters sequel will continue to push ahead, but with some considerable rewrites to write out Ramis’ character Egon.
Ivan Reitman, who directed the first two movies, is set to meet with executives at Sony to discuss how to proceed.
Ghostbusters 3 is reportedly a reboot, with new characters to be introduced. The original cast, which included Ramis, Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd and Rick Moranis, have rumoured to make cameos.
