Fox Sets Up Susan Boyle Biopic

Studio to make movie about Britain’s Got Talent winner based on the musical, I Dreamed A Dream. 

Susan BoyleFox plans to make a biopic of Britain’s Got Talent winner Susan Boyle it has been revealed.

The studio has acquired the rights to the Scottish singer’s life story alongside the musical, I Dreamed A Dream, that’s based on it. Fox’s plan is to combine the two into what they describe as “a sensitive and honest biopic infused with music” that will be shown on the silver screen.

Boyle shot to overnight fame after her 2009 audition for Britain’s Got Talent. After winning the competition she went on to release a record-breaking debut album, and has since released a further three efforts which have all become international successes in their own right.

The musical, I Dreamed A Dream tells the singer’s life story from infancy in Scotland to worldwide fame off of the back of Britain’s Got talent. It began touring in the UK of March of this year and will jet off around the globe in 2013.

Boyle becomes the second Britain’s Got Talent winner to get a biopic. The life story of 2007 winner Paul Potts is also set for the silver screen treatment with A League Of Their Own host James Corden set to play the phone salesman turned tenor with The Devil Wears Prada helmer David Frankel stepping behind the camera to direct.
