Wish I Was Here is here.
Here is the very first trailer for Wish I Was Here, the new drama-comedy written and directed by Scrubs and Garden State star Zach Braff.
Uniquely, Wish I Was Here is one of a new crop of films funded almost entirely from contributions on funding website Kickstarter.
Braff raised over $3m last year on the crowdsourcing website, but drew controversy from some who thought a wealthy, established star shouldn’t require funding from fans.
Kickstarter initially helped small indie filmmakers find a footing, but has since opened up to Hollywood players, including Spike Lee and the Veronica Mars team.
If you were one of the 46,520 backers for Braff’s project, here are the fruits of your financial labour.
After a successful Sundance debut earlier this year, Wish I Was Here is set to be released in the UK on 19 September, 2014.
