Aaron Eckhart’s monster gives great hair.
He was given life 200 years ago.
He is like none other.
No monster could ever reasonably expect to have such luxuriant hair two centuries after his creation. That Dr. Frankenstein really knew what he was doing.
Based on the graphic novel, the producers of Underworld are behind I, Frankenstein, an action fantasy mash-up that sees ‘The Monster’ now know as Adam Frankenstein wielding swords like a ninja, in a battle against a horde of winged demons.
We bet author Mary Shelley would be kicking herself for leaving that awesome plot thread out of the original 1818 novel. Bet she would have enjoyed the bonkers trailer below though.
The official synopsis for I, Frankenstein reads thus:
"Two hundred years after his shocking creation, Dr. Frankenstein's creature, Adam, still walks the earth. But when he finds himself in the middle of a war over the fate of humanity, Adam discovers he holds the key that could destroy humankind."
Frankenstein’s monster as superhero? It’s a crazy premise that just might work.
I, Frankenstein is given life in UK cinemas from 24th January 2014.
