First trailer for Fincher’s Gone Girl

15 April 2014

She may be the trailer I can’t forget...

The very first teaser trailer for David Fincher’s forthcoming thriller Gone Girl has arrived.

The 1 minute, 37 second trailer gives a zippy montage of what to expect from Fincher’s latest, which is adapted from the book by Gillian Flynn.

In a similar style to Fincher’s The Social Network, it features an unusual cover version of a song; where Network had a choir singing Radiohead’s Creep, this features Richard Butler from Psychedelic Furs singing Charles Azanavour’s She.

Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike and Neil Patrick Harris star in the crime thriller, which looks from this trailer to be in a similar vein to Fincher’s Zodiac.

Elsewhere, there were reports today that the director had dropped out of Sony and Aaron Sorkin’s Steve Jobs biopic, over a dispute on creative control and pay.

Nothing’s confirmed on that front - but Gone Girl will be released on October 3rd 2014.
