We have to admit, we are not great fans of the notion of a teaser for a trailer. Essentially, it’s just a cheap and easy way for marketing departments to generate more interest for their films.
At the risk of sounding like a miserable, aged, neophobic pensioner, where does it all end?

A pixel from a chunk from a still from the teaser for a trailer?
That being said, after the online excitement generated by the teaser for the first Captain America 2 trailer, we grudgingly accept that it’s probably a practice as unstoppable as the Winter Soldier himself.
However, as like everyone else, we are desperate to see what Bryan Singer has been up to upon his return to the X-Men franchise, we are prepared to forgive this ‘teaser for trailer’ nonsense to get a glimpse of Days of Future Past.
11 seconds of mutant trailer deliciousness has been posted to the official X-Men Instagram page.
And it looks good.
The plot sees the consciousness of the Wolverine sent back to the early 1970s to help the younger X-Men prevent a future where mutants are decimated by giant robots, The Sentinels.

Expect the full trailer sometime on Tuesday 29th October.
