Final trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past

16 April 2014

With an intro from Hugh Jackman.

Here’s the final trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past, the incoming superhero movie directed by franchise veteran Bryan Singer.

The sequel to 2011’s X-Men: First Class and prequel to the original X-Men trilogy (of which Singer directed the first two) sees the elderly Professor Xavier (Patrick Stewart) confront his younger self (played by a scraggly-haired James McAvoy), amid glimpses of other returning stars, including Halle Berry, Ellen Page, and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.

The official synopsis reads thusly:

“The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in "X-Men: Days of Future Past." The beloved characters from the original "X-Men" film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from "X-Men: First Class," in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future.”

This is apparently the final trailer, following two other teasers and a host of viral marketing,

X-Men: Days of Future Past will be released in UK cinemas on May 22nd, 2014.
