Dame Judi Dench has been confirmed for Bond 23.
Now that the MGM mess has been sorted, director Sam Mendes has set about putting his cast together, starting with Daniel Craig and Dame Judi.
"I'm looking forward hugely to working with Daniel again," Dench told journalists at the Sky Arts Awards. "...and with Sam who I've only ever worked with in the theatre. So that'll be all good fun to do! I'm so glad it's coming back, it's wonderful.”
Dench has played James Bond's boss, M, since Pierce Brosnan took over the role for 1995's Goldeneye, spanning the gap between the last, utterly dire Die Another Day and the reboot, Casino Royale.
And while she was happy to confirm her return, Dame Dench dodged questions about the movie's plot.
“Nothing... my lips are sealed. I can't tell you anything at all!” she countered.
Writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, who wrote previous four Bond outings, including both Casino Royale and Die Another Day (!) are penning the script for the next one, and the movie is set to be released in November 2012.
