Blended stirs up a trailer

18 December 2013

Sandler on safari.

Here’s the first trailer for Blended, a new comedy which reunites 50 First Dates and The Wedding Singer co-stars Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore.

In a similar vein to the actors’ earlier collaborations, it’s a romantic comedy with lashings of slapstick. Sandler and Barrymore play single parents who embark on a calamitous (51st?) date, before finding themselves and their families on holiday in Africa.

Cue safari jaunts and madcap scrapes with the natives - perhaps a sort of Carry on Up the Khyber for the gross-out generation.

Also starring in the film are Joel McHale, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Kevin Nealon, Jessica Lowe and Terry Crews.

The official synopsis is as follows:

“After a disastrous blind date, single parents Lauren and Jim agree on only one thing: they never want to see each other again. But when they each sign up separately for a fabulous family vacation with their kids, they are all stuck sharing a suite at a luxurious African safari resort for a week in “Blended,” the third comedy collaboration between stars Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore.”

Blended is released on 23rd May 2014.
