Argo The Big Winner At The Baftas

11 February 2013

Gigli just a bad memory: official

Ben Affleck's Argo was the big winner at the 2013 Baftas, securing the two big awards for Best Film and Best Director. It certainly makes his directing nomination oversight at the Oscars even more baffling.

Les Miserables won the most awards, with four, including one of the few certainties of the night, for Anne Hathaway as Best Supporting Actress.

Tony Kushner was surprisingly overlooked for Lincoln's Best Adapted Screenplay in favour of David O. Russell and his Silver Linings Playbook, but otherwise, fortuned favoured the favourites.
