Given that Yoda is now selling mobile phones, it's not a huge surprise to learn the makers of Angry Birds have licensed the once-great franchise for their casual gaming range.
In the game, the birds will look a little like the heroic rebels of the original trilogy - Han, Leia, Luke et al - while the villainous pigs will be replaced by stormtroopers and Darth Vader.
The music will also use the John Williams themes and, in typical Lucas fashion, there'll be a swathe of merchandise for kids to demand at Christmas, with Star Wars-themed Angry Birds toys, T-shirts and action figures coming out even before the game.
It's a natural progression for Angry Birds, particularly given the success of the Rio tie-in in 2012 that saw the game match the look and feel of the hit CGI-animated movie.
