Tim Burton looks set to turn to some familiar faces for the leading ladies in his upcoming project.
Reports suggest that Michelle Pfeiffer and Helena Bonham Carter will join Johnny Depp on the cast list for Dark Shadows.
An adaptation of the cult gothic TV series of the same name, Dark Shadows is a supernatural saga that’s right up the kooky director’s street.
Pfeiffer, who previously worked with Burton on Batman Returns, is set to play Elizabeth Collins Stoddard the matriarch of the Collins clan who are at the centre of the movie’s action. Whilst Helena Bonham Carter, Burton’s partner who has been nominated for an Oscar for her role in The King’s Speech, is in line to play Dr Julia Hoffman a psychologist and blood specialist who moves to Collinswood.
Pfeiffer and Bonham Carter will join Eva Green and Jackie Earle Haley who have been confirmed for the vampire drama, which revolves around Johnny Depp’s blood-sucking protagonist Barnabas Collins.
