1929- Christopher Plummer was born on December 13, 1929 (now aged 82) in Toronto, Canada. Best know as a stage actor, particularly in Canada.
1953- He made his first Broadway debut in January 1953 in the play The Starcross Story.
1957- He made his film debut in the Stage Struck playing the role of Joe Sheridan.
1965- Best known as Captain Von Trapp in the phenomenal musical The Sound of Music.
1961- Plummer played the role of Benedick in the Royal Shakespeare Company production of Much Ado About Nothing. In a couple of years time, he also landed the leading role of Richard III associated with the RSC.
